Lance Bass Ties the Knot to Michael Turchin
Aww, I am happy to report that Lance Bass is officially a married man. The one time member of ‘N Sync tied the knot to his boyfriend Michael Turchin over the weekend at the Park Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. At the ceremony, he was surrounded by family and friends that included his fellow boy banders Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and JC Chasez. In fact, JC was even the one who sang for Lance and Michael’s first dance as a married couple. Close friends, and actresses, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and JoAnna Garcia Swisher took on the honor of officiating the marriage. Some other celebrities that showed up for the special day include Pussycat Dolls co-founder Robin Antin, Christina Applegate, Carmen Electra, AJ McLean, Lisa Vanderpump, Ken Todd and Gabourey Sidibe.
With all those incredible people in attendance, I can’t help but wish I was there too. Well, thankfully I can be…sorta. The E! cameras were at the ceremony to capture it all. There is a 90-minute E! special in the works for February 5 at 8:00 pm titled, Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding. This special will give me, and fans alike, a real behind-the-scenes look at the couple’s love story and historical wedding. Why is it historical? This is the first time an American television network is broadcasting a celebrity wedding between two men. This is pretty groundbreaking to say the least.
In an interview with E! Online from earlier this year, Bass talked about his wedding day and what guests can expect. He said, “The whole wedding itself is very classy, you know. We wanted to plan something that could last for 100 years. When we show our grandchildren this amazing tape of our wedding, the best wedding video ever, I want them to be able to look at this and be like ‘Wow, that stood the test of time.’ So we’re using a lot of elements in the wedding that are classy and one of those is definitely our first dance. The song we chose is a song that lasts forever, something that is very special to us.”
It sounds like this wedding was quite the day. Congrats, Lance and Michael!
