Justin Bieber Apologizes For Behavior
Oh Justin Bieber. There was a time when Bieber was the man girls dreamed of. From hit records to sold-out shows, he had the whole world in his hands…and then he lost it. With one disgusting act after the next, the public slowly but surely fell out of love with the 20-year-old. Clearly, his talent wasn’t enough to save his image.
Now, it looks like Bieber is owning up to his mistakes and asking the world to accept his apology. Earlier this week, the “Baby” singer posted a dimly lit video to his Facebook account where he opened up about his past behavior. In it, Bieber apologized for his “arrogant” and “conceited” behavior. This video came soon after Bieber appeared on “Ellen”. There, he confessed to being “nervous” about being on TV again. He said, “I think I was nervous because I was afraid of what people are thinking about me right now. It’s been a minute since I’ve been in a public appearance, and I didn’t want to come off arrogant or conceited or basically how I’ve been acting the past year, year and a half.”
Following that statement, Bieber commented, “I’m not what I was pretending to be. Why I say I was ‘pretending’ is often we pretend to be something we’re not as a cover up of what we’re truly feeling inside. And there was a lot of feelings going on in there. Just being young and growing up in this business is hard. Just growing up in general is hard.” Then, Bieber went on to say that he “felt awkward” while filming “Ellen” because he felt people were “judging” him. He remarked, “…I really want people to know how much I care, how much I care about people, and how I’m not that person to say, ‘I don’t give a f–k,’ you know? I’m not that kid, I’m a person who genuinely cares.”
Good for you, Bieber. I hope these apologies are sincere, and not just a gimmick to get back into the spotlight.
