Is a Friends Reunion in the Works?

Share Plastic Surgery

This is definitely news that “Friends” fans all over the world are going to want to read about. Last night, the ladies of the popular NBC comedy series gathered together for dinner at the L.A. restaurant, Craig’s. Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox and Lisa Kudrow all came and left separately, but seeing them with each other in one place is enough to make me wish for a “Friends” reunion. I can’t be the only one who feels this way, right? The show has been off the air for roughly ten years and I still haven’t learned to accept this fact. After all, how many times can one watch the reruns on Nick at Nite? I think I speak on behalf of all the “Friends” viewers when I say we need new material now.

Okay, so was this get together just a chance for old chums to catch up with one another or is this a sign that the show will live on in a reunion special or movie? A source told E! News that “they are great friends,” but that this dinner meetup was “not indicative of anything.” BUMMER! If you are still hoping against hope, just wait, your bubble is about to burst some more. Earlier this year when there were reports running around that there may be another season of the show, “Friends” co-creator Marta Kauffman made sure to squash those rumors immediately. She explained that there was absolutely no truth to that speculation stating, “I’m going to clear this up—it’s not happening!” Kauffman went on to say, “Friends was about that time in your life when your friends are your family and once you have a family, there’s no need anymore.”

What are your thoughts? I know Kauffman has made it clear that a reunion isn’t happening but never say never, right? Personally, I think all the stars of “Friends” are too busy right now to even be thinking about a reunion, but down the road I can definitely see it happening. Remember, it has only been ten years, which is a pretty short amount of time in the grand scheme of things. Give “Friends” another decade or two and Kauffman may be changing her tune.
