Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher Expecting Child
I’m so excited about this news, I can hardly contain it. One of my very favorite country singers announced yesterday that she’s expecting her first child. That’s right! Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, are going to be parents! Underwood filled in her fans, and the world alike, that she was pregnant through social media, of course! On the 31-year-old’s Instagram account, she posted a picture with her two dogs that had the caption, ““In honor of “Labor” Day, Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn’t be happier…” Both dogs, Ace and Penny, were decked in Big Brother and Big Sister shirts.
How cute is that?! In the four years that Underwood and Fisher have been married, they always mentioned that they wanted to have kids, but it never seemed like anything that was going to happen in the near future. Well, I’m really happy for these two. Fisher even joked on his Twitter account that the two of them are already discussing possible names. He tweeted, “We haven’t picked names yet but it’s looking like Fly is gonna fly. #boyorgirl #flyfisher.”
While there’s no exact due date out yet for this baby, Underwood is expected to give birth in Spring 2015. What does this mean for her music career? That’s a good question. Speaking as a huge country fan, I know that she was supposed to release a new album soon, but who knows if this pregnancy news will end up pushing that back. Plus, whenever singers put out new albums, they usually follow that up with a tour where their fans can come out and see them. I am guessing that won’t happen either. At least not for another couple of years. However, even with this announcement, Underwood is still slated to host the CMA Awards this November with Brad Paisley.
Are you happy for Underwood and Fisher? Do you think they will have a boy or a girl? Make sure to sound off below!
