Big Brother Couple Gets Engaged
Okay, so I can’t be the only one who is absolutely obsessed with “Big Brother”. Come on now, this CBS reality competition show is ridiculously addicting. As a superfan, I’ve seen practically every season of the series and I have to say two of my favorite contestants of all-time are Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd. These two first met during season 11 of “Big Brother” back in 2009 and have been together ever since. They even appeared on “The Amazing Race” a couple of years ago and then “Big Brother” again in the 13th season. So, it’s safe to say this couple hasn’t stayed out of the public eye since first coming across our radars.
Well, if you tuned into “Big Brother” last night, you saw these two take their relationship to the next level. That’s right, after years of dating, Jeff finally proposed to Jordan. He even did it at the “Big Brother” house in front of this season’s current houseguests, as well as both his and Jordan’s families. I’m so happy for these two. They have proven that sometimes showmances can work outside of the reality TV bubble. While most of the world found out about the engagement by simply tuning into “Big Brother”, Jeff actually let the cat out of the bag by sending out this tweet on Friday, ““Why are the live feeds off…Maybe cause of this…SHE SAID YES! Thank you sooo much @CBSBigBrother @CBS #BB16.” He then attached a picture of him on bended knee. Jordan then followed up Jeff’s tweet with one of her own. She wrote, “I’m engaged!!! Celebrating our engagement!” Like Jeff, she also posted a picture, only hers was of the two at dinner.
Wow, when “Big Brother” says expect the unexpected, they were not kidding. However, Jeff and Jordan aren’t the first couple from “Big Brother” to get married. You may recall that Rachel Reilly and Brendon Villegas, who met on season 12, recently tied the knot as well. They even aired their wedding ceremony on WE tv’s “My Fair Wedding”. Hmm, so this has me wondering, will Jeff and Jordan broadcast their nuptials too? I sure hope so!
